Phoenix - A member of the National Socialist Movement, otherwise identified as a Neo-Nazi group, has pledged to patrol the Arizona border to combat illegal immigration. The man says they're not going to wait for the government to take action anymore.
Jason “J.T.” Ready, known as a neo-Nazi, is now leading a militia to patrol the Arizona border to take on illegal immigration and “narco-terrorists,” according to the Associated Press. However, the group has only found – so far – border crossers who were given water and handed over to the local authorities and once they found a decaying body.
“We're not going to sit around and wait for the government anymore,” said Ready. “This is what our founding fathers did.”
The Straits Times reports that local law enforcement is concerned about the group because they are heavily armed and associate themselves with the National Socialist Movement, which is an organization that believes only heterosexual Caucasians, non-Jewish and anyone else who isn’t white should leave the United States “peacefully or by force.”
“I'm not inviting them. And in fact, I'd rather they not come,” said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, reports Press TV. “Especially those who espouse hatred or bigotry such as his.”
Ready’s group is just another example of the anger and frustration over the illegal immigration debate in the U.S., which is why Arizona Governor Jan Brewer recently introduced legislation that requires police officer to check a person’s immigration status if they find any suspicious activity that question’s their citizenship.
