In April a mother caught her then-14-year-old daughter dancing at a topless bar. The police were called and the manager of the club was arrested.
Detroit, Michigan--The teen, now 15, was caught in April dancing at the topless bar called All Stars. That club was shut down on Monday for one year as ordered by Wayne County Circuit Judge Virgil Smith.
Shortly after padlocking All Stars the police received a tip the girl was dancing at Club Onyx, another strip club. Hours later she was found and a bar manager was arrested but hasn't been charged with a crime. He may face the same charges as the manager of All Stars has been charged with -- child sexual abuse activity.
Detnews.com reports Second Deputy Chief John Roach said, "We went and investigated it and, sure enough, it was the same girl who had been found dancing at the All Star Lounge. Ironically, we had padlocked the All Star Lounge earlier that day for the same reason."
Roach said the girl was detained and is housed at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility.
Club Onyx could be declared a public nuisance and ordered to be shut down for a year.
It was not clear if the girl had a fake I.D. but Detroit police say all dancers are required to have a dance card which the officers said the girl didn't have. Roach said the club was warned recently about employing underage dancers.
The girl admitted in a court hearing for the manager of All Stars that she had been stripping at three different clubs. The one she was just caught at Monday night makes four clubs.
Mlive.com asks the question, "How exactly was this girl getting around?" Some of these clubs are as much as eight miles apart.
