Jon Bon Jovi has been rocking since he formed his band in New Jersey back in 1983. Now at 48 Jon Bon Jovi is still leading the original crew that includes Richie Sambora, Tico Torres, and David Bryan. Friday night Jon was thrown for a bit of a loop when he suffered an injury in the middle of the concert. This wasn't like other performers who have fallen off stages, forgotten words, or gotten busted lip syncing, Bon Jovi did some semi-serious injury to his calf muscle.
According to a spokesman for
Bon Jovi, "Jon Bon Jovi sustained a torn calf muscle. Jon made light of the injury and went on to close the show with their hit, 'Living On a Prayer.' The band ended the night together, thanking the capacity hometown crowd, and assisting Jon off the stage."
The spokesperson went on to say that Saturday was a day off and that the rocker planned to still perform at Saratoga Springs, NY on Sunday and that the injury would not affect any stadium dates the group has scheduled.
