Berlin - Fashion show Bread and Butter Berlin is finished and as during every year, it has been a successful and essential match point in order to define the global fashion tendency for the next season.
Almost 650 brands presented their new products in the stands mounted at the former and historical airport of Berlin Tempelhof and thousands of experts and visitors had the possibility to know what's going on in the field of fashion.
Many new events took place during this summer edition and new platforms enriched the program.
Outside the hangars, a B&B KIDS Camp was built for showing young, urban kidswear brands and junior collections from the portfolio of all BREAD & BUTTER areas. The circus landscape of the world-famous Circus Roncalli, centrally located in front of the area called Denim Base, became the exclusive linchpin for buyers, retailers, stylists and journalists from the kid-swear segment.
A new exciting and youthful platform was also set up for the "Sport and Street" Area. Inside this area, the visitors could also enjoy a short exhibition dedicated to the DC COMICS 75th anniversary, while outside, on the former runway, an entertainment area with a music-stage, a basket ground, a skate park, a swimming pool, bars and a flea market was prepared for a short and nice rest.
"Fashion is not only clothes," explains Ely Sinigaglia from Models Rock Paris, an Italian-French brand, "fashion is also life and for this reason our design is concentrated on some of the most important cultural aspects of our society, through a fusion of fashion, music, photos and glam."
Century Box, the packaging specialists, invited French artist Gwénola Kaigre to their booth. She customised bags live at BBB during the 3 days of the event. B&B visitors got the chance to see her work in progress and could purchase the individually designed cotton bags. All proceeds bags went to the B&B for Charity project.
The main worldwide brands, as Diesel, Guess, Converse, Nike, Adidas, attended the trade show, but probably the most important new was the presence for the first time of the American fashion brand Calvin Klein, which declared that its objective is to improve their presence in European market.
