Diners inside a Japanese restaurant in Australia miraculously escaped death after a driver crashed his car through the building.
According to
Sky News, the car first collided with a bus before ricocheting into a Japanese restaurant in Perth in Western Australia.
In the CCTV footage, a nine-year-old girl in a red outfit is seen cringing into the wall before the car sends her flying into another table. Her father jumps over the wreckage to get to her.
Another man was pinned and can be seen looking up from beneath the car hood on top of him. It also looks like the father, who was rushing to his daughter's crumpled side, kicked the man in the head in his haste.
The man still sitting at his table in the foreground looks shocked and in pain from facial wounds.
Five people were hurt in the accident, but police said it was fortunate nobody was killed.
Royal Perth Hospital said four men were treated for "bumps and scratches" and then released.
The little girl was taken to a different hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Officers questioned the driver, but no charges have been made.
The driver had a provisional license to drive, which is the next stage of the rookie driver graduated licensing system process, after having held a learner license for at least 6 months. An Open License, or full license, can be obtained after having the provisional licence for a three-year probationary period.
