Mel Gibson allegedly told girlfriend she deserved to be hit

Has actor Mel Gibson's latest scandal completely tarnished his reputation? It is now being revealed that he allegedly told his girlfriend that she "deserved it" when he slapped her twice in the face while she was holding the couple's child.

It is alleged that Gibson struck Oksana Grigorieva , 40, twice in the face during an incident that took place on January 6 in Malibu. The allegations are being reported by Radar Online. The entertainment site reveals on a taped recording Gibson is asked by Oksana, “What kind of a man is that who would hit a woman when she is holding a child in her hands, hitting her twice in the face? After the mother of two of Gibson's children repeats the question Gibson is heard responding: “You know what — you f**cking deserved it.” It was earlier revealed that the tape had racial slurs being hurled by Gibson at musician Grigorieva: "You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault." Gibson's legal team do not deny the couple argued on January 6 but they say that their client did not strike the woman. They are reportedly attempting to have Grigorieva banned from releasing a DVD that has photos of herself after the incident. His team had thought that Grigorieva had leaked the tapes, a claim that Radar Online has said is not true. It is alleged that the tapes were made after Gibson made death threats to Grigorieva. The couple are in a legal battle over visitation rights and child custody. In the past, Gibson has sparked controversy after making anti-Semitic statements during an arrest.
