By KJ Mullins     Jul 6, 2010 in Crime
Whitby - Three black men are being sought by Durham Regional Police after a home invasion in Whitby Monday morning on Dundas Street East.
In the early hours a Whitby family was investigating noises outside of their home according to the Durham Regional Police when they were accosted by three men wearing dark clothing. At least two of the men were armed with handguns. The suspects forced the family into their home demanding property.
After the suspects had stolen property they fled on foot before making their getaway in an unidentified motor vehicle. Police do not believe this was a random act.
Anyone with information to this investigation is asked to contact D/Cst Catherine Cornes of the Central West Division CIB at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1829. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
