Toronto - Though Canada did not even compete in the World Cup, Canadian fans are still enthusiastic over the tournament matches. That enthusiasm was apparent at Toronto's city square where fans of Germany stood at the street corner cheering.
As football fans of Brazil and England remain quiet throughout the city of Toronto, others are rejoicing and celebrating their team’s victory. It is no more apparent than the fans of Germany where they celebrated even two hours after the match concluded.
With each hour passing by, Toronto fans of Germany celebrated throughout the city with German flags, jerseys and other football gear. The horns of vehicles honked rapidly, the cheers from people were heard and smiling faces as Germany defeated Argentina 4-0 to advance to the semifinal.
Germany will now face either Paraguay or Spain and the winner of that match will meet either Uruguay or the Netherlands in the World Cup final.
