London - Rafael Nadal has beaten British hopeful Andy Murray in straight sets to end the players hopes of reaching his first Wimbledon final.
Nadal took the game in straight sets after an impressive fight by Murray.
The Scot managed to take the first break point of the day taking the set to 4-3 in his favour before Nadal took the set 6-4 with an excellent backhand.
The second set was taken to a tie-breaker as the game remained very tight, Murray had the opportunity to take the set after Nadal doubled faulted when the score was 5-5, but Murray could find the point on the serve and the Spaniard took the set 7-5 on the tie-break.
Murray continued to fight back in the closing set of the match but the Spaniard ended Murray's hopes winning the set 6-4 and the match three sets to love
