Former Fulham coach Roy Hodgson has been announced as the new Liverpool this morning after a successful stint at the west London club.
Hodgson was the first choice to replace Benitez at Anfield after the Spaniard departed just over four weeks ago. The former Fulham manager had two successful seasons at the west London club which cumulated in them reaching the final of the Europa League last season.
Hodgson has been appointed on a three year contract and has the backing of current captain Steven Gerrard and has said I am both proud and excited at the prospect of working as the Liverpool manager.
Hodgson arrived at the clubs training ground this morning to meet the returning players and give his first press conference as the clubs new manager
