Reports have surfaced that former Vice President Al Gore allegedly demanded sexual favors from a massage therapist in Portland, Oregon.
It was just weeks ago that former Vice President Al Gore announced that he and his wife of 40 years, Tipper, have separated. Now a report has surfaced from a massage therapist who allege in 2006 Al Gore forced himself on her in a Portland hotel room.
The woman originally filed a complaint in 2006, but according to police withdrew it in 2007. Then in 2009 she gave her statement and police have since opened an investigation.
The name of the 54-year old woman has not been released to protect her identity. She recalled the evening to police saying that she was informed she would be meeting Mr. Gore, who that night was going under the name "Mr. Stone."
The appointment was set for 11 p.m at the Hotel Lucia, and the licensed massage therapist stated that she noticed right way that the encounter was odd as the former Vice President in her words, gave her a hug that, "went on a bit long."
According to her report Mr. Gore requested that she massage his groin area stating Gore, "grabbed my hand, shoved it down under the sheet to his pubic hair area, my fingers brushing against his penis and firmly planted my hand on his pubic crest region and said to me 'There!' in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone."
The woman claimed that she remained silent because she didn't feel that anyone would believe her, and that Gore was bulletproof. Before she was able to get out of the room Mr. Gore allegedly grabbed her buttocks, breasts and massaged her lower back.
On Wednesday the police released a statement saying, “At this point, the Police Bureau does not consider this an ongoing investigation unless new evidence is received in this case.” It was supported by District Attorney Michael Schrunk, “If the complainant and the Portland Police Bureau wish to pursue the possibility of a criminal prosecution, additional investigation by the Bureau will be necessary and will be discussed with the Portland Police Bureau.”
The news of the 2006 allegations broke when Oregon media websites KVAL.com and The Portland Mercury's Blogtown among others obtained copies of the lengthy police report.
