By Laura Trowbridge     Jun 19, 2010 in Crime
A 74-year-old Boise, Idaho woman is being investigated in connection with a year-long spree of condiment crimes involving the book drop box of a library.
Joy L. Cassidy was arrested by Boise police, right after she was spotted pouring a jar of mayonnaise into Ada County library's book return box.
The Huffington Post reported that since May 2009, the library has been hit by a string of similar condiment attacks. Employees have reported finding books in the drop box covered in corn syrup, ketchup, or mayonnaise.
Cassidy has been released from jail, but faces a misdemeanor charge of malicious injury to property.
As of yet, there is no indication as to why she may have committed at least 10 condiment-related crimes at the Ada County library.
