Setting out to scope out a strawberry festival turned to minor disappointment this weekend. At St. Lawrence Market the festival that really wasn't though turned into a fruit lover's adventure.
On Saturday the city of Toronto's event calendar promised a strawberry festival at St. Lawrence Market. What that festival consisted of was a little table with two girls handing out strawberries.
Disappointed at the small 'festival' I walked out of the building to get on a streetcar. Luckily I was greeted by fruit stands on the side of the building that made the trip a success instead of a failure.
Every Saturday there are stalls on the side of the building ready to sell visitors the freshest fruit around.
Some of the vendors did say that they will not be in town next week during the G20 but they will return for the next weekend.
