Sarah Palin, America’s rogue politician, stated Monday on her Facebook page she has been invited for a visit to London, an invitation that “included the offer of arranging a meeting” between herself and Britain’s “Iron Lady,” Margaret Thatcher
On her Facebook page, Sarah Palin calls Britain's former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher one of her “political heroines” and hopes arrangements can be made for a future trip. Palin notes Thatcher’s life and career are “a blueprint for overcoming the odds”.
According to Palin, Thatcher rose to prime minister “all by her own merit and hard work.”
Calling Thatcher one of her role models, she considers the friendship Thatcher had with Palin’s “other political hero, Ronald Reagan”, as exemplifying the “Special Relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
She did not mention whether she will charge the former Prime Minister a speaking engagement fee nor did she mention the newest “special relationship” between the US and Britain: BP and the Gulf of Mexico coastline.
