One of the most difficult things to find in a downtown urban centre is a public bathroom. Now an online "Bathroom Finder" will list public bathrooms for Canadians looking for some instant relief.
SCA, the manufacturer of TENA bladder protection products, is taking the guesswork out when it comes to finding a public washroom quickly. The company has launched an online Bathroom Finder that locates hundreds of public bathrooms across Canada.
"Whether you are heading out on a short trip or errand with the kids or a cross-country adventure, the TENA Bathroom Finder is sure to come in handy," said Terri Coleman, TENA Digital Web Manager. "The new Bathroom Finder is a great tool to help you plan ahead so you can enjoy your day - whatever it holds."
Just enter the city or postal code and the Bathroom Finder will point you to locations where you can relieve yourself on a Google Map. The site even includes a rating system and user reviews.
A test for Toronto revealed several supposedly free public bathrooms in the downtown core, such as Yorkville's Four Seasons Hotel and Manulife Centre. The map also listed cafes and Starbucks outlet, although it's uncertain whether these cafes will let you lose the bathroom without buying anything.
Recently, Toronto launched a coin-operated public bathroom near Queen's Quay, as reviewed by Andrew Moran.
