Los Angeles - Mexican actress Salma Hayek confessed today that, until last week, she had lived out the world of computers and the Internet, which she began to discover thanks to her interest in the game Sudoku.
The popular Hollywood actress, television director, and television and film producer Salma Hayek confessed during a press conference about her next film, "Grown Ups." that she just learned how to use a computer last week.
The 43 year-old actress who in 2002 was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her role in the movie Frida, had not been interested in the “new technologies” until very recently when her husband, the French billionaire François-Henri Pinault begged her to start using a computer. He finally got her attention through a digital version of the popular game of numerical ability about which she had become very fond.
"I started playing Sudoku and then I learnt other things. Now I'm getting into this” said Salma who, before she was able to use a PC, considered herself “just a country girl.”
Besides her many acting credits in movies and television, Salma Hayek is well known for her charitable work to increase awareness on violence against women, discrimination against immigrants and advocacy for breast feeding. Last year, during a trip to Sierra Leone on behalf of UNICEF, she volunteered to breastfeed a hungry week-old baby whose mother could not produce milk.
