The nations of Costa Rica and India were rocked by earthquakes that both measured quite strongly on the Richter scale. Costa Rica was struck by a 6.1-magnitude earthquake and India was hit by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake.
On Monday, India was rocked by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake and Costa Rica experienced a 6.1-magnitude earthquake, according to the
United States Geological Survey (USGS). The USGS didn’t report any aftershocks in either region.
India’s earthquake was located 75 miles southeast of Port Blair, Andaman Islands and 1,610 miles southeast of New Delhi. The earthquake’s depth was measured at 79.4 miles.
Costa Rica’s earthquake was located 40 miles southwest of San Jose and 95 miles southwest of Limon. The earthquake’s depth was measured at 18.2 miles.
There have been no immediate reports of any fatalities, injuries or significant damages in the immediate area.
Philippines was also struck with a strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake earlier in the day.
