A motorcyclist has died in a fiery crash on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge, Ontario Saturday after being hit by a pick-up truck.
Just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening a motorcycle going southbound on Manitoba Street at Gibbs Road crashed into a pick-up truck that went into its path. The driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and was transported to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge where he was pronounced dead.
The Ontario Provincial Police and Bracebridge Fire Department attended the scene with the fire department extinguishing the motorcycle.
Leslie Sherwood, 58, of Burk's Falls, Ontario died as a result of the crash.
Casey Rutledge, 21, of Bracebridge was arrested at the scene and has been charged with Impaired Driving Causing Death.
