The UK's first TV commercial offering abortion advice was aired from Monday this week. The Advertising Standards Authority has already received more than 300 complaints.
According to the
Guardian the adverting regulator has received 350 complaints from viewers offended by the commercial and plans to investigate whether the TV commercial breached the advertising code.
The controversial Marie Stopes
advert launched on Monday 28th March on Channel 4 at 10.10pm.
According to the Guardian: the controversial campaign, which anti-abortion campaign group Life has said is "grotesque", is not being aired by Channel 4 in Northern Ireland because abortion is still illegal in the province.
