London - As part of London's commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the great guitarist's death, London's Handel House Museum will curate an exhibition called Hendrix In Britain.
Hendrix in Britain is an exploration into Hendrix's enduring musical legacy and reveals aspects of his music and life in detail during his stay in England, where ironically he rented the top floor of The Handel House Museum as a townhouse apartment.
Hendrix cherished the top floor apartment which he shared with an English girlfriend for two years. In 1968 he said of the flat; "This is my first real home of my own."
Two hundred years earlier German born Baroque composer George Frederick Handel had lived in the Georgian townhouse for four decades, it was there where he composed Messiah and it is also where he died in 1759
The exhibit will run from August 25 to November 7.
