Ontario government employee arrested for child porn

Orillia - An employee of the Government of Ontario has been arrested and charged with two child pornography-related crimes after an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.
The arrest follows an investigation by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Section.
When images of child porn were discovered on the work computer of an employee of the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services last week the Ministry of Government Services' Corporate Security Branch called in the Ontario Provincial Police.
On Wednesday Richard J. Cook, 52, was charged with accessing child pornography and possessing child pornography contrary to the Criminal Code.
Cook has been remanded into custody and will appear in a Barrie court on Thursday.
