Rand Paul, the son of Ron Paul and Tea Party candidate, beat Secretary of State Trey Grayson in the Kentucky's GOP primary.
Fox News is reporting that Rand Paul is poised to give the Tea Party a big win as part of their anti-big government movement as he is leading Kentucky's Secretary of State Trey Grayson in the state's race for their Senate seat. This is one of the more hotly contested Senate seats are Republicans try to regain control of both the House and Senate.
Grayson has been backed by the state's conservative establishment, while Paul has enjoyed the backing of Sarah Palin, retiring Sen. Jim Bunning and South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint.
