Playboy introduces 3D centerfold in June issue

Los Angeles - A pair of 3D specs will be included in the issue which is on sale Friday. Hugh Hefner said he even wanted to do this 3D issue when the magazine first debuted.

The 3D centerfold will feature Hope Dworacyzk, who is currently Playmate of the Year. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has claimed that he wanted to create a 3D centerfold in the magazine's debut issue, which featured a then barely-known and clothed Marilyn Monroe but lacked the funding to include 3D glasses. "I think Playboy fans will enjoy seeing our Playmate of the Year's true form," said the aging hipster. "It's kind of neat. You kind of feel like you are in the pictorial with her." Added spokeswoman Theresa Hennessey. "Were constantly trying to do new,creative, innovative things to engage our readers, but I don't think that we'll be having 3D centerfolds every issue."
