The release of the Apple iPad was delayed in the United Kingdom but today it was announced people can buy the product on its UK launch date of May 28.
Consumers keen to buy the iPad can pre-order from today from Apple's online stores and plans have also been announced to launch the product in other countries in July. Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore are among the places where the iPad will become available.
Canada will also get the iPad on May 28.
They will be priced between £429.00 and £699.00 and customers are restricted to ordering two each.
The touchscreen iPad allows people to surf the Internet, send email, take pictures,watch videos, view maps and listen to tunes along with a host of other features.
A range of apps have also been made available for the iPad. Among these are an app which lets its users view comics from Marvel and read the Wall Street Journal. Sports fans can keep up with the latest in FI and cricket news.
