Toronto - The Integrated Security Unit, in partnership with the City of Toronto, announced on Thursday that they will be moving the Designated Speech Area from Trinity Bellwoods Park for the G20 Summit.
The Designated Speech Areas is an area allowing people to gather safely while having access to media to share their message.
Meaghan Gray, Toronto Police Service G20 Planning Team, said that at this time the team is not releasing possible locations.
"The city took into consideration the concerns of residents and business owners in the Trinity Bellwoods Park area. For this reason the location is being moved to another area yet to be named. The location will be in close proximity to the G20 Summit in the downtown core. An announcement to the final location will be made soon."
At this time there the Integrated Security Unit is considering their options for the new location.
The ISU is comprised of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Toronto Police Service, Ontario Provincial
Police, Peel Regional Police and the Canadian Forces.
