Toronto - Actor Colin Hirth, wife Livia Firth and business partner Nicola Giuggioli were presented the first Green Living/EMA( Environmental Media Association) International Entertainment Award Saturday evening in Toronto at the Green Living Show.
Firth was presented with the award by actress Amy Smart.
Firth, his wife and Giuggioli are the owners of Britain's first ecological destination store called Eco Age.
The event was hosted by CityLine's Tracy Moore.
After the presentation, First, Giuggioli, Smart and Debbie Levin sat down to discuss green issues with the audience.
Firth admitted actors have a voice that is heard more often than those who are more knowledgeable about the issues. "This is survival now. We are all in it together," he said.

The EMA Award was presented Saturday evening, April 24, 2010 to actor Colin Firth by actress Amy Smart at the Green Living Show in Toronto.
Firth said we are the generation who has the fewest excuses when it comes to the environment. He believes we have no excuse to improve the environment for our children.
He and his brother-in-law Giuggioli are deeply concerned with green living and helping improve the environment for the sake of the children who are inheriting this planet.

Smart spoke about being green before it was the 'in' thing as a young child. She grew up conserving water and recycling. She now works using her voice as a celebrity to get the word out about green causes.
"You either have good habits or bad habits."
