American Idol's Crystal Bowersox has come forward and is claiming that host Ryan Seacrest took advantage of a tender, soft moment and used it for show ratings.
The front-runner for 'American Idol,' Crystal Bowersox has stepped forward to claim that host Ryan Seacrest has betrayed her trust and her confidence.
A few weeks back Bowersox confided in Seacrest that she was thinking about leaving the show, that she was homesick and missed her young child. Seacrest consoled her in the parking lot telling her "The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house,' he told her. 'You can buy your mom a house."
The story was leaked to the media and latter confirmed by Seacrest, leaving Bowersox to feel that she had been betrayed by Seacrest in a tender moment of weakness where she shared her feelings and opened up to him.
While 'Idol' contestants are not allowed to talk to the media, Bowersox did text her friend and follow Top-24 Idol contestant, Katelyn Epperly saying that, 'I'm fine . . . betrayed by Seacrest!'
Epperly took the news to a Des Moines, Iowa radio station and shared the story with them, setting the record straight that Bowersox was not leaving the show and what had happened.
Media sources, including eonline posted stories of Seacrest being a knight in shining armor saving the damsel in distress with quotes like, "Our very own Ryan Seacrest, was on hand to save the day."
Fans posted blog statements on mjsbigblog.com, a leading 'Idol' blog site where they have turned on Seacrest. The fans take shots stating that Seacrest doesn't care about the contestants, only his ego and that he is only out for himself.
