Montreal, Canada -- A left uppercut, referred to as the 'orgasm of boxing' in The Gazette, landed at 1:22 in the 3rd round.
The power punch sent Miranda (33-5) to the canvas and over 13,000 fans to their feet at the Bell Centre, Montreal.
"That's the best knockout there is", said Stephane Larouch, Bute's trainer
"It was a good feeling, I'll leave it at that," said the champion in a TSN report.
Lucian Bute, originally a Romanian, who now lives and trains out of Montreal, continues to be undefeated and knocking opponents out with his 21st out of 26 fights.
This impressive bout was Bute's fifth title defense since 2007.
