Malcolm McLaren, former manager of The New York Dolls and The Sex Pistols, has died from cancer at the age of 64 in a clinic in Switzerland, said his girlfriend.
McLaren was born in England where he became a famous impresario and fashion designer. He was best known as manager of The Sex Pistols, the first true punk rock group.
Along with his partner Vivienne Westwood he also owned the famous fashion boutiques
Let It Rock and Sex.
He is survived by his son who he had with Vivienne Westwood; Joseph Corré, a co-founder of the fashion house Agent Provocateur. His website says "Malcolm will return shortly'.
