Toronto - Toronto Police are asking for assistance after alerting the public that a man who sexually assaulted a woman this week is on the loose.
A young woman was walking in a parking lot just after midnight on Wednesday in the Black Creek Drive/Tretheway Drive area when she was grabbed by the arm into a park by the suspect. Once in the park the suspect assaulted her and then raped her.
Citizens found the traumatized woman on the side of the road. They took the bleeding victim, 19, to the 12 Division.
Police are looking for Edmund Cherry, 28, of Toronto. He is wanted for assault and sexual assault. He is described as black, 6’, 154 lbs.− 165 lbs., with short, black hair, a panther tattoo on his right wrist and a pierced eyebrow. He was last seen wearing a blue T−shirt, and dark pants.

Crimes Unit said during a phone interview.
Stewart said that the victim was treated and released from hospital.
"She's going as good as can be expected from this type of crime."
