Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh can move to Costa Rica now if he pleases. A website called ATicketForRush.com has raised enough money for a plane ticket for Limbaugh after he said he'd move to the South American country if Obamacare passes.
Digital Journal reported earlier this month that Conservative radio shock jock Rush Limbaugh said he will move to Costa Rica if Washington approves President Barack Obama's health care reform initiative. The President’s health care plan was passed but will Limbaugh make that giant leap and move to Costa Rica?
If it’s about the price of the airplane ticket, he should have no worries. Two New Yorkers created a website called ATicketForRush.com, which collected enough donations within 18 hours to send Limbaugh packing and on his way to sunny Costa Rica, according to
Radio Business Report.
Originally, the website had a deadline of Apr. 30 but they were able to garner $1,158 in less than 24 hours, which prompted the owners, Mike and Patrick from Brooklyn, to post a statement on their webpage.
“WHOAH. 18 hours, 1,158 dollars, and over 62,000 visits later - everyone is unbelievably awesome. We've made enough for a single First Class ticket, but thankfully the donations keep coming. We're grabbing some sleep, but expect new information later today, Tuesday, 3/23. THERE'S A NEXT PART TO THIS PLAN. THANK YOU.”
Newsweek reports that if Limbaugh doesn’t accept the money then it will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
