Casselberry - Actresses Demi Moore and Nia Vardalos saved a life last week when they responded to a teen's cry for help on the social media network Twitter.
A young man, 18, posted to Twitter that he was about to hang himself in his Casselberry, Florida yard. When Moore saw the Tweet she responded to the young man with:
R U rlly asking 4 help?
Vardalos posted that she called a hotline for suicide and then connected with the police in Florida.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office responded and found the teen at his computer. He was taken to hospital for help, reports Mercury News.
Last night the teen jeremyllynch posted on Twitter:
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you all know that I am doing better and receiving help. I appreciate your support. Thank you.
His Twitter account has 836 followers but the teen is only following the two actresses at this time.
