A huge sandstorm is currently gripping the city of Beijing and eastern China and is on course to hit South Korea as well.
The storm has already affected vast swathes of the country, covering an area of 1.8 million Sq kilometres reports the BBC Residents of Seoul have been advised to stay indoors by authorities as a level 5 pollution warning is in effect.
"I think this kind of natural disaster is caused by human activity, but I don't know the exact reason, and I don't know exactly what we can do to prevent this," Beijing resident Shi Chunyan told the Associated Press.
The storm has been affecting northwestern China for over two weeks before arriving in Beijing on Friday night. Over the past 10 years there has been a marked increase in the number of sandstorms in China caused by more drought conditions effecting the area.
