article imageAncient Therapy Causing New Buzz in China

Using bees to sting patients has been proven to be an effective therapy in curing bone and joint diseases, along with other ailments.
The ancient therapy is gaining popularity at a traditional Chinese medical clinic in Beijing.
Doctors at the clinic take tweezers to pick up each bee and then place them on the acupoint of the suffering joint. Each bee stings, dies and is then discarded. The sting with its poison are left in the body for several hours.
Patients can be stung by the therapy bees four or five times to as much as over one hundred times.
Doctors claim over 90% of these patients recover or have an improvement in their condition after the bee sting therapy.
The clinic has seen a big increase in demand of their services and is planning to expand into a fully fledged hospital within one year.
