Sarah Palin wants Florida voters to oust Congressman Alan Grayson. Grayson said he looks forward to an honest debate with her on the issues, "in the unlikely event she ever learns anything about them."
During a speech at the Orange County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day fundraiser, Sarah Palin encouraged voters in Congressman Alan Grayson's district to "oust" him. She said, according to the
Huffington Post, "Do it for the rest of America."
Palin, the former GOP vice presidential nominee and former governor of Alaska, harbors such ill-will toward Grayson that "she declined to get into specifics to avoid offending her children."
Instead, she said:
Alan Grayson. What can you say about Alan Grayson? Piper is with me tonight, so I won't say anything about Alan Grayson that can't be said around children.
Palin's speech did not include any policy details; rather, she focused upon her love of America and freedom.
In response to Palin's remarks, Rep. Grayson (D-Orlando) said, "I look forward to an honest debate with Governor Palin on the issues, in the unlikely event that she ever learns anything about them," reports the Huffington Post.
The Grayson campaign, however, suggested that "scientists are studying Sarah Palin's travel between Alaska and Florida carefully. They hope to learn more about the flight patterns of that elusive migratory species, the wild Alaskan dingbat."
The jabs did not end there. According to
Politico, Grayson praised Palin for getting through the entire hour-long program without quitting and for being the most intelligent leader that the Republican Party has produced since George W. Bush.
