Toronto - A pedestrian crossing Spadina Avenue at Dundas Street in downtown Toronto escaped major injury when he was struck by a southbound streetcar.
The man was dragged under the wheels after he bounced off the front of the 510-streetcar around 6 p.m. Sunday evening. Police were alerted when onlookers called 911.
Constable Jones of Toronto's 14th Division said that the man was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises.
"He is expected to make a full recovery. At this time police are with the victim at hospital investigating the accident."
The investigation has yet to determine fault in the accident. More information should be available later in the evening.
