Last Saturday, a man was stabbed in the neck with a meat thermometer in a cinema at Lancaster, Los Angeles. The man reportedly asked a woman to turn off her mobile phone.
The victim was attacked by two men apparently known to the woman. Detective Richard Cartmill said, “The movie was on and a woman was on the phone, likely one of the suspects' girlfriend, and the victim asked her to turn it off.”
The man, along with two people who were injured trying to defend the victim, is expected to survive.
No arrests have been made though surveillance camera footage has been released.
The men have been described by Fox as “black males, one wearing an orange hat and orange jersey or jacket and the other a black hooded sweatshirt.”
