Another severe earthquake has rocked the Asian-Pacific nation of Indonesia. A 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit Sumatra but there have been no immediate reports of injuries, deaths or damages.
On Friday, Indonesia was struck once again by an earthquake that measured 6.5-magnitude on the Richter scale, according to the
United States Geological Survey. The quake was predominantly in the western Sumatra region of Indonesia.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, deaths or damages and
Reuters reports that there has been no tsunami alert issued for the western part of Sumatra.
The earthquake’s depth was measured at 13.7 miles and was located 100 miles west of Bengkulu and 435 miles northwest of Jakarta, notes the
Earth Times.
Friday’s quake comes two days after Indonesia received four minor earthquakes in the Kepulauan Taulaud region.
