Producer and Director Tim Burton is set to reunite with Timur Bekmambetov to produce the film adaptation of the best-selling novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."
Former United States President Abraham Lincoln was actually a vampire hunter whose mother was murdered by a group of vampires, at least in a novel by best-selling author Seth Grahame-Smith that was released on Tuesday. Grahame-Smith’s previous novel was entitled “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.”
The novel will be adapted into a motion picture and to be produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, according to Reuters. Grahame-Smith is set to write the screenplay, while the writer’s prior book “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” is being produced by Natalie Portman, who is also starring in the picture, reports the Independent.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Jim Lemley, producer of “Tristan + Isolde” and “Wanted," is also slated to produce the picture.
Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” is set to be released on Friday.
