The whiz-kid host of "Light-Camera-Jackson" has been nominated for two New York Emmy Awards. The weekly show airs in the Albany, Syracuse and Binghamton, New York markets on Time Warner Cable.
Jackson Murphy, 11, is the youngest person to be nominated for a NY Emmy in history. His show features weekly movie reviews from a kid's perspective.
Murphy has been nominated for Entertainment Program: Feature or Segment and On-Camera Talent: Commentator or Editorialist.
Entries are selected by a Blue Ribbon Panel who include Emmy and industry award winners. This year there were 1519 entries for the New York Market's Emmy Awards.
Jackson is currently in discussion with numerous shows to cover the Academy Awards giving a kid's perspective.
"I'm surprised and honored to be considered by my peers for these awards," said Jackson. "It is truly amazing just to be nominated and compete with such talented people."
