article imageBritain's youngest Botox user

With a mother known as the Human Barbie, it is not surprising Hannah Burge started her fight against wrinkles at the tender age of 15. She says she doesn't want to be haggard at 25.
This story adds a new wrinkle to the controversy swirling about Botox but finds Hannah Burge wrinkle-free. Burge was only 15 when she had her first Botox treatment, becoming possibly the youngest Brit to undergo the wrinkle-fighting procedure. Link to picture. Link to second picture.
Hannah is the daughter of Sarah Burge, known as the Human Barbie. Mom earned the moniker after spending more than £200,000 setting the British record for the most cosmetic procedures. She claims to have had procedures on virtually every part of her body: tummy tuck, buttock implants, breast enhancements, fat transfers, and more. Sarah gives new meaning to high-maintenance-woman; She spends about £22,000 annually on upkeep. (Some estimate that Burge has actually spent more than £525,000 in her quest for plastic perfection.)
Young Hannah had to have the Human Barbie's consent before following in those wrinkle free footprints; She got her first Botox injection at a clinic in Spain about a year ago. Now 16, she has had two more injections but these were administered by her mother at home.
The British teen is given half the usual adult dose, which seems reasonable as, at her age, she must have less than half the usual number of wrinkles. Still Sarah worries: “I had a couple of lines on my forehead and around my mouth, which I was unhappy about. Appearance is important to me and I don't want to look haggard by the time I'm 25,” reported the London Evening Standard.
In the United States more than 11,000 teenagers had Botox in 2009, according to the American Society Of Plastic Surgeons. Most American practitioners will not treat those under 18 but these kids are instead getting their's at Botox parties or having it done abroad.
