Vancouver, Canada -- CNN reports that the dead body of missing actor, Andrew Koenig, has been found in Stanley Park, Vancouver. Local police made the discovery at approximately noon.
Actor Andrew Koenig, age 41, has been discovered. According to CNN, his dead body was recovered by authorities in Stanley Park, Vancouver.
TMZ reports that, in a statement released by his father, the actor had taken his own life,
The actor was reportedly last seen on February 14th, 2010. The actor had been on anti-depressants, but had stopped the medication a year ago.
After his parents received a "despondent" note from him, it was discovered that Andrew Koenig reportedly had sold all his possessions in a garage sale and had moved out of his home in Venice, California.
A known human rights activist, he was arrested in 2008 for protesting against the U.S. for their involvement in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Koenig appeared in 25 episodes of ABC's "Growing Pains" from 1985 to 1989, that starred actors such as Kirk Cameron and Alan Thicke, playing Richard "Boner" Stabone.
Andrew Koenig's father is Walter Koenig, known for his role as Anton Chekov in Star Trek: The Original Series.
Several days ago, his father released this statement, "I only want to say he's a really good person, a great humanitarian. Everyone who knew him was very fond of him. He was not in a good frame of mind when he called us. He was depressed."
