Brothel owners in the Lugano area of Switzerland claim training in the electric shock treatment - which can restart hearts - is necessary because so many elderly customers are using their services.
Swiss prostitutes are being trained to use defibrillators to prevent clients with heart problems from dying on them.
The most recent victim was a pensioner, thought to be having fun with the help of anti-impotence medication.
The brothels in Lugano, Switzerland, where this occurred, say 80% of their customers are Italians who cross the border for other than chocolate.
According to one owner,
Having customers die on us isn't exactly good publicity.
A defibrillator is a machine used to deliver an electronic shock to the victim’s heart and restore normal heartbeat so that the heart can continue to pump blood through the rest of the body.
Local health experts are said to have backed the plans to stock defibrillators in sex clubs and brothels.
The article goes on to say that the British Heart Foundation likes the idea,
Modern defibrillators are becoming increasingly quick and easy for the lay person to use, which can mean the difference between life and death
This definition of a "lay person" may take on a new meaning.
