The star of the hit NBC show "30 Rock," Tina Fey, will "inevitably" return to SNL to reprise her role as former Governor Sarah Palin.
Throughout the 2008 Presidential election, Tina Fey, former star on
Saturday Night Live (SNL) and star of
30 Rock, gained fame for her role as former Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
According to
Extra TV, Fey said she will most likely reprise her impersonation of Palin when she hosts SNL in April.
Fey believes it’s “inevitable” but will “see if it makes it to air.” She further added, “It was the strangest thing that's ever happened to me, I've never had anything fall in my lap like that."
However, officials at
NBC are not commenting on such a decision. SNL doesn’t usually discuss upcoming sketches, reports the
Associated Press.
The
New York Daily News notes that Palin appeared alongside Fey on SNL in October of 2008 and had a lot of fun on the show.
Palin also said if she was asked to reappear on the show, she would do it.
Fey’s performance as Palin won her the title of 2008 AP Entertainer of the Year and drew large ratings for SNL.
