A jihadist website has posted a warning concerning a recently arrested al Qaeda member who might expose a number of their members.
The arrest of Abdullah Saleh al-Eidan, arrested in late January in Oman, has since been moved to Saudi Arabia. This news has been confirmed by a member of the U.S. counter-terrorism.
A jihadist website has reported that al-Eidan was a field commander and had over 300 names and numbers as well as other important documents in his possession at the time of his capture.
The U.S. counter-terrorism official was not able to speak on the record due to the sensitivity of the situation. The official was able to confirm that some of the documents did contain information about al-Qaeda members in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
The
jihadist website suggested that al-Qaeda members "change their locations and mobile numbers as soon as possible."
Al-Eidan is reportedly not in the upper level of al-Qaeda but at the same time he is not considered a foot soldier either.
