article imageKeith Olbermann: 9/11 happened because of George W. Bush

By Andrew Moran     Feb 13, 2010 in Politics
MSNBC host Keith Olbermann said on his program that 3,000 peopled died on Sept. 11, 2001 because former President George W. Bush "did not prioritize."
On Friday, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann made a bold statement, which he feels is a taboo subject, and that is the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 occurred because former President George W. Bush “did not prioritize.”
Olbermann further added that the reason no one discusses such a topic is because it’s a “painful, awful truth to confront,” that 3,000 people died because the Bush administration had other “agendas” other than to fight terrorism.
Earlier in the day, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough had former Bush speechwriter Mark Thiessen on the show to discuss his latest book, which discusses how President Barack Obama is inviting the next terrorist attack in the United States. Thiessen also claimed that Los Angeles would have had its own 9/11 if it weren’t for torture.
However, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell called out the former speechwriter and said he’s lying about the assertion that the west coast would’ve had a terrorist attack, “But you actually -- you as a former speechwriter in the White House, you took an oath of office when you took that job, that you might or might not remember. You actually publish a book that says that the president of the United States, on its title, the president is inviting the next attack.”
After clips aired on “Countdown”, Olbermann also believes Thiessen is lying about the former President not knowing who hit the US in the period after Sept. 11, “Thanks to traditional intelligence gathering, which Mr. Bush ignored -- Mr. Bush knew who hit us very early after 9/11, in fact, he knew on 9/11.”
