In a highly anticipated game, the New Orleans Saints have won the Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17. There's sure to be celebrating in New Orleans French Quarter tonight.
In a much-anticipated game, the New Orleans Saints came from behind after the first three quarters to land on their feet with a win of 31 to 17 against the Indianapolis Colts.
This brings New Orleans out of doldrums of the last more than four years and counting, since Hurricane Katrina.
This win means it's all over for the Indianapolis Colts, who played valiantly as they took the first three quarters of the game. But it was said the New Orleans Saints had a strategy to win, and they pulled it off in the final quarter to pull ahead so far that in the last 10 minutes of the game, it was apparent the Saints were destined to win.
Even as the win was announced, the crowds were pouring into Bourbon Street, with shouts of les bon temp roulez (let the good times roll). And they certainly will tonight.
As more of the statistics are announced, DJ will bring readers a follow up, including a brief look at some of the celebrations.
