While Massachusetts Republican Senator-elect Scott Brown sought an earlier seating in the Senate, the embittered son of late Senator Edward Kennedy called Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown's candidacy 'a joke.'
The art of losing gracefully appeared to be fleeting among the Kennedy clan - at least as demonstrated in the bitter remarks of Patrick Kennedy, son of late Senator Edward Kennedy.
Responding to the recent election results in Massachusetts that sent Republican candidate Scott Brown to the Senate - and that effectively blocked the Obama administration's ability to serve up a filibuster-proof health care bill - Patrick Kennedy said
Mr. Brown's candidacy is "a joke."
"Brown's whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama's appointment to the NLRB," Kennedy said, according to
The Hill.
Concerned about potential Democratic delays, Senator-elect Brown
sought an early seating for his new position -
angering many who opposed his election win and what that win means for hosts of national legislative agendas.
