Saskatoon woman hit by car while crossing street

By KJ Mullins     Jan 28, 2010 in Crime
A woman, 36, has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian at College Drive and Wiggins Ave. in Saskatoon. The pedestrian was treated at hospital for minor injuries and released.
Police report that the woman was released from hospital after being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Saskatoon Police Service Traffic Unit has been in a lull after heavy snow fall. They are now picking up enforcement efforts.
On Wednesday, 20 violators were ticketed for speeding in school zones after traffic police targeted the area using radar detectors.
Motorists in the area of 33rd and Alberta avenue may want to be extra careful, as radar will be operating in that school zone as well as several other undisclosed areas.
