Caught on tape, a truck travelling with its dumper raised smashed into an overpass in Istanbul, Turkey. At least one pedestrians fell into a mess of glass and concrete but miraculously, no one was seriously injured. Police are investigating the incident.
Several Turkish pedestrians should consider themselves extremely lucky. On Jan. 25, they were involved in a major accident on an overpass stretching over an Istanbul highway. As the video above shows, the truck's dumper was raised and when the truck rode under the overpass, the dumper smashed into the glass-and-concrete footbridge.
At least one pedestrian is seen falling to the ground, while others to the right are seen scrambling for safety. One pedestrian was injured, but not seriously. Somehow, no one died from this horrific crash.
According to media reports, Private Kanal D television found out the driver said the dumper moved up suddenly while he was driving.
Police are investigating why the dumper suddenly moved up, and why the driver didn't stop driving into the overpass.
The accident happened in the Beylikduzu district on the European side of Istanbul.
